The rooms are equipped to provide a home-like environment for families. A generous family space with couch, refrigerator, and television is separated from the mother’s area by translucent panels for added privacy. One suite includes a labor tub with integrated chroma therapy. The space is rounded out with a baby exam area off the mother’s area, to ensure the family is together at all times.
In addition to the new suites, two observation rooms were placed near the nurse station, the visitor’s lounge
got a revamp with a custom digital window film, and three on-call doctor rooms and a male locker room were added.
Circle wood grain patterns present an interesting wayfinding element in the corridors, carrying the natural aesthetic through the Center.
A new central nursing hub was also put in place to help staff better control visitors and provide prompt care. It also adds an extra layer of security and better welcomes visitors.
