In 2018, Berners Schober was given the opportunity to breathe new life into the aging lobby space of the Weidner Center, one of Northeast Wisconsin’s premier performing arts centers.

Project Highlights
Full finish upgrade to provide a more conducive space for viewing and experiencing art
The upgrade focuses on amplifying the grandeur and wonder of both the performances and fine art collection of the Weidner Center.
The finished space revolves around an existing grand, Chihuly glass chandelier. Furnishings and adornments are limited for both aesthetic qualities and for ease of use and maintenance. In subtle contrast, a touch of playfulness was brought in with a colorful, geometric carpet pattern in the spirit of Mondrian.
Beyond the foyer, the walls are painted in a darker hue to aid in wayfinding to the auditorium. A wood-like plank carpet forms a subtle transition from the grand foyer and balances the space.
