Located in the lower level of the historic Fieldhouse at Camp Randall Stadium, the University of Wisconsin Volleyball team’s suite was updated by Berners Schober to be an adaptable set of rooms with versatile lighting, statement wall elements, and vibrant environmental graphics. Due to unique design challenges, a creative layout and high-end finishes were utilized to maximize the space.

Embraces the space's unique and unusual geometry

The locker room's location in the lower level of the historic Fieldhouse at Camp Randall Stadium, was an intriguing challenge with its unusual geometry, lack of daylighting, and varying ceiling heights.

The 4,500 SF renovation solved these challenges with an energetic design and reimagined spaces, including program, team collaboration, and lounge areas.

A corridor entry to the volleyball spaces establishes mood with an ornamental wood wall, featuring integrated lighting, which can be tailored to the array of emotions both before and after games. Sophisticated finishes and versatile lighting throughout are utilized in tandem to create the perfect atmosphere

for everyday working circumstances or targeted conditions such as recruitment efforts or game days.

Throughout the renovation, environmental graphics are integrated with architecture, lighting, and furnishings to unify a grouping of rooms into one cohesive suite for the volleyball program.
