Summer Intern Blossoms
We are pleased to welcome Michelle Laun to Berners-Schober as our newest full time employee- Originally hired as one of our summer interns, her abilities and engaging, positive attitude have convinced us to keep her around!
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!) in 2015. To enhance her skillset, Michelle is currently taking courses to earn her Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC).
Outside of the classroom and studio, Michelle stays well connected to the community through involvement in many organizations, such as the MNesicles Alumni Association of Alpha Rho Chi (a professional design fraternity) or her role as the President of the Juntos Club (human relations club) at NWTC. Soon she hopes to join the tiny house movement and design her very own home. It is worth noting that Michelle grew up in a very small town. In fact, it wasn’t until moving to Minneapolis that she learned ice cream trucks really do exist in real life!
At Berners-Schober we are driven by our desire to enhance our community through our design work, but also by lending a hand to our neighbors in need. Michelle shows she has a heart that fits right in with this culture. She is excited to volunteer in the community right along aside her Berners-Schober colleagues, starting with our upcoming work day with Habitat for Humanity in Green Bay.
Welcome to Berners-Schober Michelle!
